An Introduction from the Author
The first part of this book gives you a vision. The unfoldment of that vision is a philosophy. It explains the rules, tools and laws, and how to achieve success
with them.
The second part of this book is actually the same theory, but an even more simplified method. The main reason for simplifying it is that I found nearly all of the
various books of similar content too difficult for an uninitiated person to understand and to put into daily practice. Reducing this philosophy to two or three points has the advantage of being
easily memorized.
"The supreme mind is not corruptible and not bribable and that thrills me endlessly."
Chapter 1
A Vision
It seems that a sublime wisdom and force is ruling the universe. We may name it the Supreme Mind. This Supreme Mind is a light, a spiritual light, which has created
all things. It is the Father of the Universe. This light-force is imbedded in an unmeasurable vastness of space, stretching and reaching, expanding in and out endlessly. The space is enclosing
and holding all the trillions of stars, planets and all objects. Without space, no star or any object would have room to move or rest, to be or exist. Space embraces all things in existence. We
may call it the Mother of the Universe.
Light and space are one and the same, Father and Mother in Oneness; they inseparable. The universe is the visible manifestation of their union in action, coming out
of their realm of non-action, out of their repose of eternity, in which they rest in their first and second dimensions. The first dimension is pure being. The second dimension is awareness, which
is the same as will. Out of this realm, the third dimension is created. It is space and time.
Space is characteristic of an acquiescent, yielding, compliant, flexible, complacent and relenting quality. It is a latent energy, remaining passive. Space and time
itself is infinite, expanding in pure existence. Space is indifferent. It is as broad as long and deep, it is completely carefree. In short it is purposeless simplicity. When space and time, with
its expansion and contraction, once will be gone, dissolved in trillions of years from now, then there is nothing more left.
This nothingness is, and must be, the basic fundamental origin and primary principle. It is incomprehensible, impenetrable, inscrutable and unsearchable, and beyond
description. It is the Mother and Father principle in their repose. But, to recognize itself and be aware of its own existence in nowhere and no space and no time, it needs the contrary of it,
which is space and its moving energy and time, the force, the will to action. And willing it so, space, force and time appear out of the primary parenthood of repose into action, creating the
whole universe.
This whole Universe can exist only in the dual position of perfectness and imperfectness. The perfectness could perceive itself through the imperfectness. It would
not be perfect if it could not be able to create its contrary, the imperfectness. And will it so, the whole creation begins to play in mathematical precision, action and interaction, cause and
effect, timelessness and time. It is the eternal totality and I may call this eternal totality the divine parenthood, their supreme mind and their sublime ruling.
Chapter 2
The Creation of Mankind
Mankind is a creation of the Supreme Mind of the eternal totality, appearing in space and time.
Man is gifted and entrusted with a conscious self-awareness. In the midst of his being is the center of "I". This "I" is identical with the Supreme Mind. Like a
waterdrop is a tiny part of the immense ocean, so is mankind's mind a tiny part of the Supreme Mind of the Universe. This "I am" awareness is in every atom of his body, and it is in the midst of
the supreme Mind of the universe. It is the hub of the universe, it is one in one. The law of the creator of mankind has given to each man the gift of developing his own
individuality that the human race may shine in thousand myriads of different colored shades and rays.
Chapter 3
A Discomforting Question
All this innate primary principle of laws and rules of the universe and their creation seem to be in a sharp direct contradiction to the experiences of mankind on
earth.
The evolution of mankind has a long history of terrible suffering brought on partly by hardship of earth's nature, her shortcomings and errors, weather
catastrophes, earthquakes, floods, periods of ice and sun burnings, etc. and partly by the ignorance of man himself, with all his murderous wars, bloodshed, greed, cruelty, superstitions, fear,
vices, epidemic diseases and famine.
If there is a supreme mind, all wise and all mighty, a ruling supreme power, as stated, how could this supreme mind let it happen, this seemingly senseless
suffering of his creatures? Is that not the peak of cruelty, worse than any man could think of a supreme mind, ruling the universe and not helping his own creatures in great pain?
Something must be very wrong! This so much revered, praised, supreme mind of all the universe must be a blind monster or the theory of a ruling supreme mind has no
real ground. It is not in existence, is only a fantasy, an invention of a compassionate human mind. At best it is merely wishful thinking, to teach humanity to the wild kingdom of the human
animal.
By such reasoning many of the sincere thinking men and women and unfortunately some of our best and learned leading men of Science, industry, government, and
politics, turn in doubt away from all unproven religious speculation. When they are being asked about their religious beliefs in God or in a higher Being, they say "Sorry, I am a Scientist, an
Artist, a Philosopher, a Doctor, a Professor, a Writer, a Teacher," etc.
Recognizing the plight of their fellowman, they have formed many "Brotherhoods of Men" to improve the lot of the suffering human race. With great efforts and
through their discoveries in medicine, in chemistry, technology, in the Arts, in philosophy, in education and in humanitarian organizations, etc., a real improvement for more comfort and ease has
taken place and still more is forthcoming. Undeniably the human race in our Twentieth Century is living in greater comfort than people of the Nineteenth, Eighteenth and Seventeenth Centuries. But
physical comfort and material wealth alone are not making all people happy and free. They only want more luxuries, more pleasures, lust, till they fall victim to their own perversion and
vices.
Only the knowledge of the truth can set men free!
In the course of the unfolding lifespan of a human, there is sometimes, according to man's intelligence and ambition, a nagging voice coming from deep inside of the
mind, a question, again and again. What is life all about? Does it make sense, all these billions of men over thousands of years, coming and going, having a bit of fun, suffering more or less,
saying "Yes", sometimes "No", and in no time, they pass away? Is there life after death? Or not? Are there men among us, knowing more, who could answer us or solve these nagging questions? In
search for a definite truth, they often turn to religion, to the books of philosophers, to the writings of past prophets and spiritual leaders. There they find relatively ready-made answers, as
many as there are questions. They find at times new satisfying illusions, but after a while, begins the nagging doubt again. Is there a way out of this mess in a man's lifespan? Only the
knowledge of the truth can set man free!
Chapter 4
My Answer
It is my conviction that man's victories and failures are not a by mere chance or accident. Out of the universe's evolution, man appears, created through the will
and wisdom of the Supreme Mind. But first, man is ignorant of it, although he is heir to the whole universe. It is trusted to his hand a recreation, to discover all the laws and rules of his own
nature and that of the universe, to learn and to form his own destiny. We are designed to be artists, to mold and create into our flesh the image of our inherent supreme mind, making it visible
in innumerable individualities and variations.
When I say men are born ignorant, it implies that there is an opposite, which is wisdom. With that, we are entering the State of Duality, the dualistic theater it
plays in man's mind and out in the third dimension. Its consequences are learning, feeling and dealing with all of the oppositions of which nature is composed. From cold to hot, the high is
recognized through the opposite low, long is contrary to short, pain feels different than lust, stillness and noisiness, sweet and sour, soft and hard; in short, a lifelong, nearly endless
experience of learning from ignorance to wisdom, from evil to good. We see life and death face to face. Slowly, slowly you will comprehend that white color is recognizable only if you have seen
black before, and that round forms are contrary to squares, etc., and you meet happiness and grief. Without this dualistic or double characteristic of nature's phenomenons, there would not be
possible the existence of human feeling and living. Only through the experience of missing & suffering could we learn what is lust, pleasure and blissfulness. It is the rule of the universe's
Supreme Mind not to interfere with the development and awakening of the human as an individual and as a race. Only if a human is asking for help, will help be given freely and only as much as you
could open yourself to receive. The universal Supreme Mind is the perfect love. It does not ask for anything in return. Its love is completely selfless, and therefore, it has to wait until the
human mind and heart is asking for answers and is ready for the communion with the Supreme Mind and love.
To most of us, the way to enlightenment and freedom is not progressing in one straight line, but its path is an up and down, a zig-zag line and back and forth
movement. Life cannot develop without the permanent oppositions of negative and positive, the interplay of space and force. You just have to recognize this fact: You never will know what is
enlightenment if you do not walk through the valley of darkness. Again, only through knowledge of the truth, men are set free.
But to gain this knowledge, some qualifications and spiritual tools are required, such as glowing enthusiasm and a strong determined will.
Patience, the ability of full concentration, exacting the closest attention, to learn about the process of man's thinking and the observation of his mind - with
these tools you will sharpen your critical capacity. It will strengthen your logical conclusions toward the final goal of your total liberation.
Chapter 5
The Will of Man
Most men are suffering from a weakness of willpower. And by a large mass of the earth's population, the will is so little developed that we could speak of a want of
will. Many men are hardly more than two legged animals and they never will contribute or perform any great feat or show a proficiency of an attainment. How many of these people will find a way to
change their weakness of will? What can one do to strengthen and develop the will?
But first, what is will? What makes men perform great achievement, great feats? If I interpret will correctly, then will is a moving energy. Why does the will, this
energy, wish to move? There must be some reason behind it, a motivation, a motive, an idea that makes sense. Then, when you have an idea, you wish to realize it into visibility. But you only will
move to do it if enough interest (speak) enthusiasm is behind your idea. Lack of ideas and enthusiasm is the real reason for the weakness of will in man. Give men ideas which they can understand
according to their spiritual level. And enthusiasm, courage and love will follow immediately. The energy, which was first in a latent condition, is rising up, is moving now, to do that comforting
idea which you have in mind.
How is an artist a painter learning to create great works of art? Only through love and enthusiasm for art, then training, studies and painting everyday. A great
pianist who loves music is exercising his fingers daily, patiently, until he arrives at the desired fine art of musical expression. Practice makes the Master! Don't waste time. Put all your
attention in every action and every thought of your daily routine work for weeks and perhaps months, and in so doing, your will-force is steadily growing.
You will store up a mighty will-force and in time, you radiate this force, and people are drawn to you, looking upon you for leadership. A good method is also the
training in no-willpower. It means the rejection of all things which are not useful and not important, or even damaging. Get rid of all habits which for your body, soul and mind are burdensome,
break them, knock them out of your system. It is an age old experience that nothing grows so fast and vigorously through practice like the will. So many people, who only months ago were in pain
and great despair because they did not know what to do, enjoy today the victory of will over matters. The will holds together all thoughts and is connected with unseen real forces. Real will is
not anger, stubbornness, wrath or to flare out in hot blood. The strong will of man is very quiet, and when connected with the universal mind through fine ideas, it is unconquerable. Say daily to
yourself, "It is my determined will not to be sick, never to be poor. I will always be healthy and strong and rich in my mind, in my soul and in my body and in my circumstance and
position."
Chapter 6
Meditation and Contemplation
Meditation is an exercise to prepare the mind for the necessary efforts to pursue the proper art of concentration. We could meditate by any manual work we do, which
does not require special attention. Actually everybody who thinks and reflects about the universe, the eternity, the destination of mankind is meditating. Cultivating and practicing meditation is
for many people a wholesome life elixir, a badly needed comfort. Collecting thoughts and feelings, preferable of a high ideal and binding them together like a string of pearls is a fine art. We
must try not to permit the restless thoughts to scatter like chickens in any direction because of its unruly nature. Your mind must become a quiet, trained, valuable instrument, which you can
direct and handle with skill and precision. Don't take the tyrannical charge from your own thoughts anymore. You deliberately place in your mental vision thoughts whose depths have a deep
meaning, a poem from a sacred scripture or words of an inspired writer. Try hard not to permit other ideas or mental pictures which you have not chosen. Again, it will take some practice. The
build up of wonderful qualities of the highest ideal of which you can conceive will mold your character to its image, and in so doing, you have changed already from meditation to contemplation,
which is the successful result from meditation. In short, meditation is the forming of a mental image, but contemplation is condensing and a solidification of the meditated image into your
character and flesh. The qualifications for which you should strive, are purity, gentleness, courage, uncorruptability, complete devotion to your ideal, and above all, an indomitable will. If you
constantly practice them, no power can prevent you from obtaining them. Intelligence, wisdom, health, beauty, wealth, anything you desire is within your reach.
Chapter 7
Concentration
Meditation, contemplation are leading you into the greatest art there is, the Art of Concentration.
When you turn your attention totally upon one idea so that no other unrelated thought or act can intrude, then you are concentrating. There are no clear borderlines
of these three; in fact, they are a tri-pack: Meditation, Contemplation and Concentration. That is the most valuable power that can be possessed by a human being. Men who have developed this
capacity of "One pointedness" of concentration are proven the most successful in science, in the arts, in invention, in business and industry, as well as in religious, political and governmental
organizations.
But this priceless faculty, this capacity, can not be given to man as a gift. It must be built by each individual himself. The best way to develop it is to pay
close attention to everything you do in the daily, routine work. Perform that work which comes to you in a most skillful and thoughtful way, within your power. "Will a pound of feathers fall to
the ground with the same force as a pound of lead?" was the question a teacher asked the child, Gail Hamilton. "Yes, if you press it as much together like the lead" was the answer of that young
genius.
Concentration is assembling in one focus and for one purpose the consciousness of your mind. When you hold a magnifying glass under the sun light and under that
magnifying glass a piece of paper or a small string, quietly for a minute, focusing the sunlight to a narrow point above the paper or string, it immediately catches fire. That is exactly the same
principle when you focus the spiritual light of your consciousness to the single point in your mind of the object you have chosen. Nothing on earth nor in Heaven could withstand that burning ray.
It is like a laser beam sending its concentrated light into the darkness of the unconscious part of your mind, searchingly. It will see and recognize whatever knowledge you need. There is nothing
too great for man not to reach it, if he sets his will to it. The infinite universal mind is only too glad to be of service and willingly gives his support. Under his grace all things are
possible. Gradually as we learn, we will overcome our frailties, our ignorance and faintheartedness which are due to the unmastered body in which we dwell. But we will learn to dominate the
garments of flesh by our will. As we grow a little in our endeavor, the first signs of growing power are a form of selfishness, more greed and lust and some ill tempered eruptions. Gradually we
learn to subdue these low slumbering primitive instincts. The raising awareness within you is able to shine more and more radiant and the outer consciousness approaches nearer to the inner state
of the total perfect universal mind.
Strive ever upwards, be fearless, be keen whether you are young or old, ignorant or wise, stained or pure. If you are born with a skin yellow or red, black or white
or brown, it does not matter. If we have fallen, we should be of good courage and cheer because there is no depth out of which we can not climb, and when we have succeeded, let us share the
happiness and goods with our brothers and sisters. Never forget the fundamental truth, that this whole world revolves in the almighty omnipresence of the Supreme Universal Mind which is only
interested in your growth toward a mature human. But, as I said before, you have to ask for help, as it is the universal rule not to interfere in man's royal birth right, to play his own
game.
The twelve-second concentration of avoiding thoughts is the first step, the first state of accomplishment. It must be a complete cessation of thoughts, a suspension
of the thinking process. Now you may think this is an easy job. What is the fuss of only twelve seconds? But try it and you will see in a few seconds your thoughts are wandering to different
things, again and again. You have to stop that over and over, and you experience that twelve second focusing your consciousness clear of thoughts is a tremendously hard performance, a pitch of
proficiency. Our whole life long our thoughts have had more or less free rein. They never felt shackled. They had their sway of passion unfettered, and now at once we want to restrain them and
knuckle them under the demanding will.
But the speedy whirling chain of thoughts will not yield. They stamp like wild horses on the prairie, they rear up, they prance, revolting against the harness of
your will. As soon as we start with the concentration, we will feel in our thinking principle a strong counterpressure, a tremendous reaction, so that in the time of our training, ten times more
ideas and imaginations are rushing along, storming against your will. It is an assault, an onslaught against the life long habit and freedom to come and go in their own galoptious wilderness. But
you must remain quiet, calm and cool. Through your determinate will, you finally win the upper hand of this deadly struggle. Soon you will master the second stage of 144 seconds. Then follows the
last fight, which is near to a half hour of uninterrupted concentration. In this stillness only the light of your consciousness is aware, waiting and expecting the union with the universal mind.
But not a thought, even the purest, should cross your mind during the concentration. This is the highest and final goal. When you are able to do this, you have won a great victory. Since ancient
time a human who has achieved this almost superhuman efficiency was named an Adept, a master, a holy man, a mahatma. I personally don't like such subjective, superlative titles. I would rather
say, "A human of this high achievement is a human, born again, recognizing his own individuality."
Chapter 8
The Magnetic Power of Thoughts
The disposition of your cast of mind in which you are remaining most of the time is a force that guides or directs the dynamic of events for or against you. Because
each one of your thoughts is a force as real as the electrical current, all thoughts which you are thinking are forming your face, your whole body and they act upon your health, for good or bad.
They let you win a lot of money or make you lose the money. If most of the time your thinking and feeling is poorness, then you are unwittingly creating poorness. If every time you have to pay,
you get a trembling heart, then without fail, through the laws of nature's force, you are drawing poorness to yourself. Whatever a position a person holds, be it a clerk, a carpenter, accountant,
cowboy or administrator, it does not matter. But if he forms the habit of seeing himself all the time in the same position, never raising or wishing for a higher position with a better salary and
a better sphere of activity, then he has all chances against him. He winds up all the circumstances to his adversity.
There is the truth. From the castle in the sky, the palaces on earth are built.
There are men born in great poverty, but in short years, they are making fortunes. From their early beginnings they think of nothing else day and night. All their
will is directed to only one goal: Success. Every planning of an undertaking has its start first in the fantasy. An owner of a big factory with 10,000 workers was in his mind long ahead, before
he actually had a factory with workers, and when he reached that state, he was in his mind already at the next step ahead. One thing is absolutely sure: Every inclination, any passion, in which
we remain for a certain time, is bringing us to the things of life which are in correspondence with this passion or habit. For example, if a man likes beautiful, mighty cars, then by every
opportunity will he go where fine cars are assembled and he will try to speak with men of the same likes because he thinks he has the same right to acquire in time, yes, in a short time from now,
a gorgeous car. The men who already are owning and directing this business feel a sympathy with the fellow. Subconsciously they feel the same aspirations and ideas and interests. If he takes a
job with them and deals eagerly as if it were his business, then they start to patronize and support him. They find him useful and he has the opportunity to come closer to them and have more
intimate discussions. Then friendship will form, because in every branch of undertaking, the leading men are in need of mutual help and confidence. Who always thinks of himself little and
insignificant will not be appreciated by anyone. There is no wave of success coming out of him and hardly will anyone help him to a higher position. So permit yourself, start in the quiet castle
of your fantasy, by directing big undertakings, but don't speak to anybody about it. Keep it quiet so nobody can make fun of you or ridicule you. Train yourself to expect "Success". Keep in
quietness and expectancy. That is the best way and the most fruitful and productive method to invest your thought force.
To fear misfortune, difficulties and to brood about it, is ruinous and assuredly the shortest road to the poorhouse. If you are far sighted, hopeful and energetic
and if your undertaking is based on moral rights, then the world will feel in you the coming man, even before she has seen you face to face. The spiritual Ocean feels you and all the waves which
are rolling ahead of you will build and mold the success into the sphere of real facts, into reality.
Chapter 9
The Conscious and the Subconscious Mind
Its Use and Abuse
Our double or twofold existence is made from a part of the conscious and unconscious mind, to which belongs a great part of forgotten matters and memories. The
other part of our being belongs to the subconscious and super-conscious life of ours. We call it the supreme mind in us, reflecting the great universal mind of the cosmos. Both sides of our
beings had hardly any mutual contact together, they do not know much of each others' existence. In recent time, about eighty years ago, we start to speak about them. The great mystics,
philosophers and kings and many of the religious leaders of the past, had obvious knowledge of it, but they kept their experience to themselves. They used different terminology, words and
symbols. Today we named it the Science of Psychology and Psychiatry, parapsychology and psychokinesis, etc.
Many of the old wise men from the past and today maintain that our subconscious is all knowing and omniscient, because it is connected with the universal spirit,
that supreme mind. Most of the great achievement in science, philosophy, art and technology came to the great men from their subconsciousness. It may happen in a flash like intuition or through
inspiration or in a dream-revelation. If their statements are founded and grounded in truth, then the subconsciousness of your mind knows also the thoughts and desires of your consciousness.
Would it be then really necessary to impress with autosuggestions all your desired wishes into the subconsciousness and especially the one fabricated from other brains? It is better to formulate
your own thoughts and wishes very distinctly from time to time and feel them strongly. Then let them go. Your conscious and subconscious expectations are pressing your heart-felt wishes
irresistibly forward toward their realization. Let it confidently work, let it happen. It will work. It is not your business to know how. Not a second will you allow the doubting thoughts to
raise their ugly head, because it is a habit of the limited intellect of man to put his nose in things which he does not understand, so keep this stupid nosiness of how, out of your
mind.
Men of politics and smart men of industry and their determined sales officers are partaking in lectures on psychology, etc., learning the various rules and tricks
of it. A lot of brainwashing is taking place. Holy men with loaded revolvers preaching to a listening public how to hypnotize with a stealthy glance, a steady gaze, through one's own eyes at the
business competitor's eyes, disabling him to gain wealth and power, and in that way removing him from competition. There is a kind of Engineer-Pantheism, and imagination of a dear god, who is an
infinite horsepower-dynamo. You have to be connected with a sudden prayer formula and the little pump station "I" is then eternally running in full blast, to satisfy their master's monstrous
egotism. Fervent feeblemindedness is aglow in their greedy nature. They are unable to control envy, anger, jealousy, rivalries, greed and passions. But in the end, they get nowhere. What you have
to learn is to control your thoughts. Exercise all the time. Think only what is desirable and good for everybody and this is also good for you. Elevate the mind.
Hold the mind on a high ideal under all circumstances upright and steady. The steadiness of a wish should remain till the fruits of so doing falls suddenly realized into reality. A man with this
ability is master of his destiny and really free.
To linger with your and other's mistakes is impregnating one's character. Every unfriendly, bitter thought is a very injurious material substance, slipping into our
system of body, soul and mind.
We will recognize more and more how often we are managing to build false convictions into our consciousness and how we are actually waiting for coming signs and
proof of getting weak and old, literally tottering towards senility, surrendering resignedly.
Chapter 10
Prolonging Youth
We should learn from the million years of the experience of sickness and death of our organisms, which unconsciously are circulating in our blood stream, and ban
the fear, knowledge and memory of decay of living cells. It is ignorant and impertinent to state what is and what is not in the planning of nature in the future. It is a grave error to look back
to the past as an infallible road sign for all things to come. Geology tells us that our planet, Earth, was once a raw mass of wild and brutal forces, which have built and developed plants,
animals and mankind, first in very primitive forms and then through the millions of years, moving toward today's refinement. That is a hint and hope of more perfection in all forms of life. More
refinement and growing intelligence will bring more power and knowledge to man. Thousands of men and women thinkers are asking why do we really have to decay and die, when we hardly have
collected any experience and wisdom? Now we have reached Summer and see the days are so much shorter! Such thoughts are first a silent whisper, a wishful thought, and one has not much courage to
murmur it to a friend's ear, for fear of making a fool of oneself. But the intensity and the deeply felt wishes of thousands of men since long ago, will guide and move these thought-forces into
visible reality. Naturally as we go along, there will be many errors, sidestreets and dead end roads. How much higher though, we are spiritually rising. We therefore are more enabled to control
and change our body, to make ourselves more beautiful, strong and lovable. But we also could make ourselves, with the same power, ugly, sick and repulsive. To do so, with our given free will, for
good or bad purposes, is indeed the magic power of our thoughts.
Perseverance without interruption of our ideals of youth, energy and wisdom will bring the desired fulfillment. Your buildup of force and beauty of today will not
be destroyed by what you have already built, or through your weakness and failures of tomorrow. It is only interrupted and is waiting for a continuation in a better hour. What we are thinking
most of our time, wittingly or unwittingly, we will receive. We will realize it. There are so many possibilities in nature's store in and around man. They come precisely as fast as we are able to
recognize, train and learn to control them. But the laziness!
Chapter 11
The High Art of Forgetting
Sometimes it seems nearly impossible to make any progress at all, to influence our subconscious mind through our conscious mind of reasoning, because the rationally
oriented thinking of our consciousness, the so called "Intellect", is very limited in its comprehension and always tormented with doubts, anguish and fear. Yet all you have to do is hurl and
throw your clearly formulated, distinctly built thoughts of your consciousness upon your silent partner, the subconscious mind in you. Do this several times a day, or at least once a day, for
about ten or twenty minutes, and after this exercise of your concentration, forget all about it, for a little while of time. Like an architect with blueprints of a building, he
speaks and gives orders to the contractor in his office only for a short time, then the contractor and workers go ahead and do the commissioned work. If he were to hold the workers the whole day
in his office, how could they get any work done? For that reason, let go of your wishes and thoughts from the office of your mind, and forget the whole thing for a while, as previously mentioned.
By so doing this, you are giving your subconscious mind a chance, like the contractor with his workers who have to go to work, so will your subconscious mind create and form with all the force,
and in time, the flash of a solution will be given from the subconscious to the conscious state of your mind. With your will and hands, the desired realization is forthcoming. In the past and in
our time, men have given different names to this teaching and preaching. They call the subconscious mind the all wise Buddha, Allah, Chrisna, Tao, Jehova, Divinity, Jesus Christ and God. Modern
scientists and atheists may call it man's "intelligence" or man's "intuition". Whatever name you call it, it does not matter, but when practiced, it is the most wonderful working miracle on
earth.
The knowledge of truth will make men free!
Part II
A More Simplified Method to Master Your Destiny (The Bare Essentials)
When we say - our mind, our soul, our body, it sounds as if our beings are split into three separate parts, in which every part plays its independent role. It is
not so. There are no clear borderlines. They are flowing in and out of each other. Without a soul, we could not feel; without a mind, we could not think; without a body, we could not move and
act. All three parts are necessary and they always operate in unison. They could not do anything without each other's help, and automatically function. We know that the brain does the thinking
function and that it is found in the head which is part of the body. All of your feeling is a vibration, coming mainly from your nervous system, which is also a visible part of your body. Without
a body you could not think and feel. Even the pneumatic body, often called the "astral body", is still a body of some substance. In other words, the living body is the carrier of the soul and the
mind. They are interfused. The body is the instrument used to think, to feel, physically and psychically, because your nervous system runs through the whole body. We are often hearing from
teachers of Metaphysics that the position of the soul is in the "Plexis Solaris" located behind the stomach and you have to learn to recognize that in you as a golden, soft light, shining out
from there to the world, like a sun. This is nonsense, as our whole body is a living soul, a Plexis Solaris, located in your brain as well as in your feet, vibrating through your nerves, blood,
flesh and bones, through your whole being. If you feel that your whole being is like a shining sun, or a spring of outflowing life vibration toward all beings without demanding any recognition,
then you have the basic principle of life which is the stone of the Wise.
There is the central point: we are here to grow, to learn, to give love to others in need (and who is not in need?) turning our Earth into a paradise. What a
terrific mission is given us! It is a life long practice.
Nothing on Earth is as important for you, then to learn to form your own destiny. It is much easier to learn the guiding rules than you may think. The best advice
is: Stick to it under all circumstances; never give up. In all human beings, who are not initiated in the law and game of life, their nervous system is in a rather vulnerable and often strangled
condition. The reason for that is the high pressure to succeed and fulfill modern day demands and ambitions. Nearly all diseases, illnesses, maladies of body, soul and mind, including poor
circumstances like having no job, lack of money, etc., are due to a lack of knowledge. All your feelings and conditions, be it of a positive or negative nature, are the result of
the secret unconscious working of the forces of your soul. Good feelings are the result of a free and undisturbed activity of your thinking habits. Bad, terrible feelings are due to the condition
of the nervous system, by sad, negative, evil, envious, hateful, angry jealous thoughts and moods. They poison the soul and agitate the frame of mind and heart. A continuing contraction of the
nervous system brings with it an enduring situation of nervous disorder and the final breakdown, like a hose collapses when the fluid content runs out. You see clearly now, how important it is to
watch and keep the right flow of life's forces always in full power and there is no limit to these life forces which your soul and nerve sensorium can generate.
Hidden in your soul and body is the point where life is born. There the uncreated is created, the unorganized is organized, the invisible becomes visible, and the
unconscious becomes conscious. There are no limits to the amount of life energy which the soul system can created and renew, be assured, with a stunning speed. But, the unconscious
part of your soul is a creator of blind energy, although almighty, but without any reasoning capacity. It is the servant of your mind and it can produce no more power and energy than
your mind will permit.
Your mind is the God in the Highest. The Sensorium of the soul, with its carrier, the nervous system, obeys the smallest movement of your thoughts in your mind. If
you permit bad thoughts, then you contract and close your sensorium to a very narrow degree and the flow of life's energy is interrupted. When you realize that your angry mood, or your covetous
mind, or your grumbling mood represents so much poisonous material, put into your body and soul and that all these elements will give your body pain and make it sick, then you have a strong
reason for taking some care in what your mind is thinking and make the inside of you, the plate, clean and pure.
Remember: Every unpleasant thought is literally stuffed into your body.
Are some people unpleasant to us? Do their domineering manners or their coarseness and vulgarity offend us? Do their airs or affectations, or their stinginess or
dishonesty bother us? Well, let us try to overcome them by blessing and loving them until we are able to forgive and forget it. Such riddance is the commencement and exercise of getting a
stronger new mind, a happy soul and a new body. Therefore, you are the master of your own destiny. Are you able to see this truth? Then it is the time for you to make the decision to stop bad
thoughts and take control over your thinking habits. One thing is only necessary. The complete control of your thoughts and moods. The soul and body are the channel of the Supreme Mind, and the
divine energy of love will flow in full force and with it, all undesired badness and all lurking evil will be overcome. We have to learn to bless and love our enemies and they will turn out to be
our friends! Hard to believe? Please behold in your mind the fact that real love is not sentimental, gushy nonsense, or giddy, dizzy balder dash or wishy washy hot air. The real love is a steady
flow of good will and understanding coming out of your mind and sensorium, meaning the entire apparatus of the soul and body. Words and deeds are not love in itself, but their expression. To have
enemies is a sign of a lack in love giving. By sending and radiating uninterrupted love, you are changing enemies into friends, evil into good, sickness into health, etc. Until
we have learned to understand ourselves and control it, every thought which passes through our consciousness will influence the process of the working secret forces in our soul and body's
sensorium. I repeat: Agreeable thoughts will open the channel for the flow of good will and love, health and wealth. But every unpleasant disagreeable, offensive thought will contract your
sensorium and with it, the supply of love and life energy for your mind, soul and body, and your outer circumstances and positions. What good is it to sit down everyday for an hour or more,
training transcendence and concentration and the rest of the day being your old self, giving in to every thought of criticism, to be oversensitive to nasty, unlovely remarks from your nearest and
dearest? The person, who has no special time for the mind and soul training or exercise, but who cares the whole day, watching and controlling his thoughts and sticking his good
will and love into every action, day after day, seven days a week, this person will reach mastership very fast. So let the decision sink deep into your flesh and blood and mind and consciousness
and say "Always and under all circumstances, I will hold myself wide open as a channel through which high idealistic thoughts and selfless love can flow, and it will make no difference to me how
bad I feel inside or what happens outside of me, even if it hails cats and dogs."
Naturally, you will not succeed by your first effort, your first trial, but through constant increasing practice, you will master the task. With every passing day
you will feel a fresher capacity to sense the beauty in nature which is all around you. It will also mean the daily flow of new keen thoughts rising up from your infinite mind and soul. It shall
fill you with new life from everything. To get life from everything means to get energy from everything. To get energy implies a control of all physical elements. This includes a power of even
holding an ever and ever refining physical, psychic and spiritual body. When we do not know what to do with ourselves, trying to kill time, then everything seems flat, stale, outworn and boring.
We have lost temporarily our hold of the great fountain of life, the Supreme Mind's love and power. We will find that it is impossible to get life's exhilaration and variety out of poor material
things. That is the reason why all that money can buy, fails to satisfy. The monster of discontent and boredom rages as much in the palaces as the hovel. King Solomon gave us an example when he
said, "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity." He was trying to get life and happiness out of polished wood, fine stone, metal and flesh, all things material. He then found that it does not work.
Demand new glorious thoughts and an increasing nearness to the supreme wisdom and love. Take courage and trust more and more and be led in the path of the Highest. If that pinch should come again
and all things begin to look dark, then we should hold our whole being fearlessly upright. An upright man has to fear nothing because he is free! He rests in a living confident in the Grace of
Heaven and Earth as an offspring of the Supreme Mind of the Universe. You may call it, in short, "God".
Chapter 13
A Little Story from Tschuany-Tse. 468-350 B.С.
The yellow Emperor was traveling to the north of the Red Sea, ascending the Mount Khun-Lun and viewing the South. On his way home, he lost his magic pearl. He sent
Recognition out to find the pearl, but she could not find it. Then he sent Clearsight out to find the pearl, but she could not find it either. He sent Thinking Power out, but she did not find the
pearl. Finally, he sent Purposeless out, and Purposeless found the pearl. "Truly strange and remarkable," said the Emperor, "that Purposeless was able to find the pearl."
Chapter 14
About Love
Selfless love is the most important thing to learn. If you think that money is more important than love, finally, it will bring sickness and disaster and loss of
money. In our day and age, it seems to me that the high art of real love is a lost art. Hardly anybody has the slightest notion nor the faintest idea about true love.
All disaster, illness and suffering in a single person's life, as in families, communities and in whole nations, is the result of a total lack of the knowledge of
the universal divine love. The ignorance and violation of the law of love brings with it, precisely in the same proportion as the violation, all kind of undesired conditions. Every day, again and
again, you clear the mind of any grudge or ill will, grievance, resentment, spite and animosity. Even so, when you feel very hurt in your personal rights, through somebody's evil deeds, dig deep
into your memory and free yourself of all bad feelings by forgiving yourself and others. Bless them constantly and wish them health, wealth and wisdom.
"Real love starts when nothing is expected in return."
It is the mightiest force and magnet of the universe. Jealousy is the deadliest enemy of love. But real strong love overcomes, overwhelms every
obstacle. Real love knows no fear. Follow the path of love and everything falls in your way. The inconceivable Supreme Mind is creating the third dimension into visibility, its vibrating impulse
is pure love. Love is a cosmic phenomenon. It is the magic of miracles. Every man and every woman in their life span is initiated in Love, but with most of them, their love is selfish, demanding
and superficial, and full of fear and inferiority. You never will be given, what you have not first given. Try to give perfect selfless love without demanding anything, without criticizing,
blaming, nagging, scolding or condemning. Then you are in union with the Supreme Mind. You may call it God, or Allah or Christ in Men. It is the Divine Love active in Heaven and Earth, in the
air, in water, in the rocks, the plants, the animals and in angels and mankind. It is the vibration of God's mind, his highest wave length. It is his gift and grace, over and ever in light and
darkness. It is always present for you.
Chapter 15
Woman versus Man
Our religious system and their philosophical construction in the past and still today is based on a male deity, a male god, better known as God Father. It sounds
and it means that he is the exclusive Ruler of the Universe. The whole womanhood is thought to look up to such a God and humble themselves before it. But the real truth is: The female principle
is just the other and equal half of the supreme ruling power of the Cosmos and Universe.
Since man had a greater physical strength and aggression, but unaware that draws a great part of the spiritual force from the feminine quality, he thought and
concluded that the masculine power must be the primary leading and creative force in the Cosmos. So, man styled himself as "Lord of Creation". He took over governmental power, he judged and
explained all things through his masculine eye. The participation of femininity of the building of the man's world, he thought, is only her capacity to give birth. And yet the wave and current of
feminine thought and feelings are always flowing to him, giving him strength and clearness of mind and soul, as a vital part of his daily life. It is not seen, heard or felt, in a physical sense,
but it is as much needed to his life and health, as it is needed in vegetation for healthy productiveness. It is as much a fine spiritual power as masculinity is a tremendous force for the human
race. This force and effect of women's contribution with her thoughts and feminine vibrations, was as long as history records, never clarified in words and books. Man can prove his superiority
mostly in physical activities and this is not proof at all.
A man could, during a conversation with a woman, absorb a lot of even unspoken words and its feeling. It may even change his life for good or evil. If a woman
cannot be a Pope or a President, she may still influence their mind. But I grant, both parties, the male and the female, are unconscious of the working of the secret forces between them. A more
balanced Wisdom must come of the feminine finer spirituality and man's masculine ability of constructive material realization and that would form a perfect harmony. J. W. Goethe, the great
European poet and philosopher, once said, "The eternal femininity leads us ever upward." From such a statement coming from a man with a universal achievement of the highest esteem and fame, we
can safely conclude, that he was fully aware of the enormous influence of the feminine force. How long a time, have women regretted man's folly and head strong management of affairs? They yearn
to bring some gentle and loving impulses to man's turbulent doings. If they would have more say and an equal participation in all governmental organizations and institutions, the whole human race
would progress fast with a wonderful result. Women will grow more in the awareness of their possession and use of her particular and peculiar force vibration. It is a revelation that the infinite
Supreme Mind, that eternal and creative force, is a blending of the two forces, the masculinity and the femininity. And this fifty to fifty mixture extends to all of nature's creations. It brings
to man's mind indispensable finer elements, thoughts and feelings, not in hostility and anger, but as a gentle and loving gift. Man must wake up, to the fact, that woman is a full partner in
business and pleasure of life, and not a partner to be used when convenient, ignored and wasted at other times. But there are women of a higher spirit and women of a lower order. To be of good
help to man, a woman must ask from the Supreme Mind, wisdom and guidance, which she draws more readily from the infinite mind, knowledge and power, than man. With the perfect blending of the
feminine and masculine characteristics, there will be no more a oneside, entire control from one over to the other. They will recognize that the peculiar power of one sex is necessary to the
other and that both are of the same qualification and value.
Chapter 16
A Little Success Story
I knew a man who had a book store. He always showed a sour face. He complained of ulcers in his stomach and suffering lots of pain. He had hardly any customers in
his store and therefore, had difficulties in paying his rent.
Not far from his place, another man also had a book store. This store was packed full with customers. The owner was always cheerful and succeeded in making a lot of
money. The owner of the first bookstore often went to the second bookstore, to watch his competitor's success. Afterward he would come home with an ash gray face and more stomach pain. I decided
to tell him some truths. "Are you feeling angry, jealous and envious of that successful man's business?" I asked him. "Why shouldn't I? I have better and more books. Even my store is in a better
location, and yet he makes all the money. That is not fair!" he said. "Look," I said, "with your habit of nourishing such negative thoughts and feelings, you actually are withdrawing the flow of
success, customers, wealth and health." Then I explained to him the law of wealth. I urged him to try for awhile the complete reversed approach, loving and blessing his competitor in his mind and
heart and asking for grace and supply for his and his competitor's business. After the first few days of trying, he said to me, "I don't know! Could I do it longer, because I feel like a liar, a
hypocrite?" I clarified again the law and urged persistence. So he carried on until he could feel, at first, a sympathy, and a short while later, a warming love. Having recognized the logical
truth of my explanation, he started that praying session every time the old envy came up. He did so very intensely. He really put his heart in it and after a few weeks, his business picked up and
a few months later, it began to prosper more than he ever expected. Also his ulcer disappeared.
Lesson: Bless and love your enemy or competitor and you disarm him completely.
Chapter 17
Aphorism
In the midst of our physical, psychical and spiritual center is our "I" and from there flows the spring of the unsearchable, incomprehensible and unseizable
eternity of God. Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and let it happen.
But, if you let it happen or not, maybe you are not able to hold still even for twelve seconds, you are just the same a creature of that Supreme Mind of God, which
does not judge you for good or bad. His life giving sun shines anyhow on you. Maybe one day you will wish to know more about your Sublime Ruler. Then you are on the way.
The Eternity wanted to be temporal and so it created the Third Dimensionality with the incorporation of Time. What a wonderful thing it is to be limited! Pleasure
limited by Time is marvelous. But after a certain time has gone by, time likes to be eternal, to prolong the limitation of pleasure. What a paradox! Out of Eternity - into Time. Out of Time -
into Eternity.
Good and bad are qualifications born in the mind of man, and with it, he plays the game of life, having for a short time, big fun, big pain. But the thought of the
end of life makes man sad. Oh, how much he wishes to prolong his life!
"The sublime ruler is not corruptible nor bribable and that thrills me endlessly!"
The Supreme Mind of the Universe contracts in nothingness, giving all space and enough rope to his creatures for their happiness. That is the peak of selfless
love.
Chapter 18
A Few Words from a Sage from the Thirteenth Century
Man was created from God to enjoy a permanent Sunday, however, having his free will, man wanted to create, act and direct with his own will and hand, which was not
his business. Therefore, he fell from the Grace of God into hard working days. Dear man, do you again want to reach Sunday? Then stop working in your own way and let God alone work for you,
through you, and very truly, that way you will exchange your hard working days for and to a permanent Sunday.
Chapter 19
Two Small Life Stories and an Observation
I knew a scientist. He claimed to be a complete atheist. Through his untiring research in chemistry, he invented a terrific chemical combination, a
solution. With it he made a big fortune. He married a very beautiful woman, raised four fine children, and kept up his health and happiness to a ripe age. He died peacefully.
I knew a very religious, integre man. He was a fine successful writer of stories with great romance and poems. He also was a professor of Theology
and History at a university. He was married to a beautiful woman and raised four fine children. He kept up his health and happiness to a ripe age. He died peacefully.
Obviously, the Supreme Mind, the Sublime Ruler of the Universe and Mankind, did not mind about an atheist or a theologist. Both men lived with Heaven's grace very
happily.
Chapter 20
Ending With No End.
All things in Heaven and Earth have a very fine imperceptible beginning, in growing, being and disappearing. So should be your concentration, unspeakable, lightly
and fine, enabling you to slide into the inconceivable, incomprehensible and unseizable omnipresence of....
